In 1972 in a small town in Mississippi a pivotal event occurred. Three
churches in Hattiesburg decided they could no longer ignore the spiritual needs
of the students at the University of Southern Mississippi, so they combined
resources and hired a man to serve as their minister to that campus. Thus was
born Reformed University Fellowship.
RUF came to Lehigh University in
1998. David Green had just finished his
Masters of Divinity degree, and for the next ten years he and Ruth
served the students at Lehigh through Bible studies, counseling, and hospitality.
In 2008 David was appointed Area Coordinator for the Northeast , and
Scott Mitchell came to Lehigh.
Scott is a graduate of Texas A&M University in Civil Engineering.
He received his
Masters of Divinity degree at Westminster Theological Seminary in
Dallas. He and his wife Bonnie have moved to Bethlehem and are eager to
continue the RUF ministry at Lehigh University.
We want to share this ministry with you! On the Lehighlights page you can
find the newsletters we send out to supporters about four times a year. The Messages
page provides links to many of the messages we present to the students. Other
pages provide more detailed information about RUF and the campus minister. And
if you click on Campus Website you will be transferred to that location
to see up-to-date information about activities on campus.
